Can you specialize in any topic as a Nurse Practitioner?

If i have a license as a nurse practitioner, can i work in a different specialty? #nursing #medicine

You most certainly can. You can work in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care (ICU), Pediatrics, and on and on. It is a varied field right now. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Good luck!

Thank you comment icon You most certainly can. It only depends on some of the state practice laws and the hospitals themselves. When I worked in the ICU at my hospital (adult medical ICU) we had 3 Physician's Assistants and a Nurse Practitioner that worked in night rotations so that we had one of them there at all times of the night shift from 7pm-7am. It was very cool and they got to do a lot of cool things. But, not every hospital has that. On the bright side many are starting to adopt a policy like this, so it is definitely possible Jared Buescher
