This is a bit of a broad question but here are some ideas:

No college courses:
consider the military. Medics and corpsmen in the Army and Navy respectively both treat patients for injuries and illnesses. Training is provided by the military.
how about firefighter? Many are trained in first aid, some are sent to get emergency medical technician training (EMT).
Also consider ski patrol, lifeguard, etc.

Some college:
Emergency medical technician - can be completed at a quick pace in as little as 6 months. Provide treatment on the scene of the incident and transport patients to the hospital via ambulance. If you practice in a remote areas such as national parks, you can be classified as a wilderness EMT and have much more responsibility. There are extra courses for this but on-the-job training may be available as well.

Associate's degree:
Paramedic. Provide higher care than an EMT, have more autonomy. Provide care at the scene of the incident and during patient transport back to the hospital. These are the professionals usually in the back of the ambulance during the drive.

Bachelor's degree:
bachelor's of science in nursing (BSN). Many emergency rooms have nurses with a BSN and they work hands on with injured or acutely ill patients. Nurses with a BSN also have a lot of mobility and can work basically anywhere in hospitals, clinics, and other places.

Master's degree:
Physician's assistant, Nurse Practitioner, and others. These are considered mid-level providers and can treat patients autonomously.

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree:
well, these are your doctors. So there's that.

It all depends on what you want to do and what time you want to spend doing it. Also, if you go into one, that doesn't mean you can't become another!!!
