What kind of qualities must a student have in order to get into a college that majors in medicine?

I want to know what colleges out there will help me in my journey towards being a doctor. I want to know what type of people they need and where I will fit in to help. I also want to find the right college for me. #doctor #medicine #graduate

Any field that involves medicine will require you to be disciplined. That means mentally accepting you will have to devote time to reading and studying. Medicine requires you to also be very attentive to details. The ability to ask questions and dig into an issue so you can undertand it is very important.

I think a big personality trait that is also needed is being able to accept challenges and not shying away from opportunities that seem hard to overcome. Those who teach you and eventually the people you work with will look for these traits. Your education and training will not be the only things employers, colleges and eventually your patients will be looking for. When I graduated pharmacy school in 1998 it took me 5 years to do. Now it takes 6 and soon 7. But in my time I looked forward to different areas of pharmacy which allowed be to be a director of a nursing home pharmacy at just 24 and a director of hospice for over 13 years after. As long as you stuck through the tough times and focus on where you want to be in life, you can and will succeed. GO FOR IT
