Nothing is difficult in learning if you have passion to explore yourself to new things.
Hi Deepak, this answer isn't helpful as it doesn't directly answer the student's question. How difficult is it for someone to learn mechanical engineering?

It is a very challenging degree to attain, but it can be very fun if you are truly interested.

If you've ever played with legos or building blocks, you'll see that the fundamentals can be pretty simple. The structure shouldn't break or fall down!
I'd recommend starting off with mechanics: the physics of movement. Things like Newton's laws, torque, etc. are the building blocks for more advanced concepts. These are all things you can see around you, from turning a wrench to rolling a ball down a hill. For me, some of the formulas in mechanics were confusing. Once I got the hang of it though, more advanced mechanical engineering topics felt easier.
Mechanical Engineering is a super broad field. You'd also likely have to learn other engineering concepts depending on what you want to do within mechanical engineering. If you're interested in building a power plant for example, you'll need to know about heat flow.
You'll also have to learn how to model 3D objects with software, which can be tricky at first, but super fun once you get the hang of it! I remember the first time designing my own thing and seeing it on the computer felt awesome!
Overall, for many people the fundamentals of physics are the hardest to learn, but once you get the hang of it, applying these concepts to build something of your own makes it all worth it!
