What would be the best grade level to start off teaching in elementary education?

I am asking this question because I would like to become an elementary school teacher but am not sure which grade would best fit a first time teacher. #education

Kristen has a point. although my studies had nothing to do with teaching, people say I would be a good teacher. so I decided to volunteer at a local high school where I gave extra Math classes to junior year, and believe me Erin, the experience was priceless, not to mention that I had good feedback from what I like to call my students. so try finding a way to do that, you will develop your communication skills with the pupils. being a teacher isn't about knowing it all, but more about how to transmit what we know to kids. Good luck !

If you are able, try and find a local elementary school that you could volunteer at. Try to volunteer with different grades and see what you like best.
