Carolyn’s Answer

Again, wrong question, unless you are writing a Wikipaedia posting on Jury Consultants.

One Day? No two sys will ever be like each other because each trial is unique, with different demands diven by the JUdges calendar, and the level of urgency in the trial, especially if it in appeal or retrial

Widen the time frame: To any given trial from start to finish what activities and objectives are required by a Jury Consultant?

As someone who just truimphed in 2 years of litagation as the client I swear my hand to God there is no such thing as a 40 hour work week for a jury consultant or anyone acting as an advocate for someone going through the legal system as a complaintant or defendent, because the process requires a giant spurt of effort at the begiinging, with many, many late nights thinking creatively and researching for unique traits, typically using on line data sources. There are never extensingr granted for the jury consultant to finish her research - that pause every other aspect of a trial, N E V E R. Lead Counsel's requests for more time are rarely granted because time is both MONEY and JUSTICE TO A SPEEDY TRIAL DENIED.

During a trial - which can last 6 - 8 hours a day - there will be Overnight Homework EVERY DAY so everyone on the leagal team is at their best when the gavel goes down the next morning. In this digial age there should be very little travel, unless you are wokring cases that involve Interpol or multinational crimes, or working in a country or culture where digital information is surpress or not yet developed.

Most sincerely, be prepared to work like an American, a German, or someone appearing before your country;s Supreme Court, every day or every week. THis includes takng work with you, and completing it while on holiday. Trials must be PERFECTION, because there is no UNDO key or Do Over request granted unless the jurist makes an error in proceedure or legal interpretation.

All legal service jobs are for individuals who SEEK TO SERVE others in need, as well as to WIN for the party they represent. Often this has NOTHING TO DO WITH GETTING TO THE TRUTH, rather it is presenting the parts of the truth that support your clients needs.

This job requires passion, high morals and extreame emotional maturity, as well as world class investigative and "People Reading" skills.

Vineeth’s Answer

Most jury consultants are employed by consulting firms that range in size from small boutique firms to large, international companies, while others work on a freelance basis. Some large law firms employ in-house jury consultants. The nature of the work is fast-paced and demanding, and it can require extensive travel and challenging schedules to meet client deadlines. The job typically requires a 40-hour workweek.
