Unfortunately, less than one percent of varsity players make it to the pros. In addition to your varsity team, in your off season, play with other local teams. Ask your coach what teams he would recommend. If you have the money, attend a basketball camp over the summer. If you have the skills to play in college, the college recruiters will find you. From there, the pro teams, if you are 'pro-material' will recruit you. Being a pro basketball player is not a job you can apply for in a traditional way. 'Applying' means practicing beyond the time required by your coach. (BTW - most pro basketball players made their 'all county' first teams while in high school.)
