Think of Nursing School as the extension of college for your specialty area, which is the same for Med School, Vet School, etc... So I would focus on the positives and not the little things. Nursing School is very common-sense driven and is always geared towards "What is the best intervention/outcome/medication/action that I can do for the patient?" This includes ethical decisions, beneficence, standards of care, rules and regulations, medication six rights, medication calculations, nurse practice act, etc...
Nursing school may definitely feel hard during it, but a lot of times the students get together and create study groups or have a study partner, we even did this back in the '90s when I was going to Nursing school! You can do whatever you focus your mind on and the professors in nursing school have all been through it and want you to succeed, not fail. If you have struggles in an area, speak-up, ask for help, and you will get through it!
Lastly, one of the hardest things is the NCLEX. You have to pass the NCLEX to get your initial license to become a Registered Nurse. This may also seem daunting, but most schools (99%) structure their exams during the year to mirror the structure NCLEX questions. This is where your training to become a nurse kicks-in and you apply what you have learned!
Don't beat yourself up, don't expect to be perfect, don't sweat the little things! Take notes, pay attention, and find a study group/study buddy! Nursing school was one of the best experiences of my life and I take that with me every day, even 25+ years later! It is what you make it, so make the best of it, you can do this!!
