Ulises, thank you for your interest in the military.
If you are 18 years old, this process is pretty easy! Go to a recruiter and enlist. Now before you go, please pause! There are alot of considerations you should factor into your first trip to the recruiter!
You should have a general idea on jobs available. You will take a test that measures your aptitude, this test opens up the possible jobs you have to choose from. This is important.
Next you should consider active duty versus reserves. At this point you still have the ability to choose. However, the recruiter may strongly recommend one over the other. This is your choice.
Additional requests: you can ask for everything you want. Airborne, length of service, duty station. The one thing though, unless it’s explicitly in your contract. It is not promised. It must be in writing.
Understand the dates… you’ll have one date for basic training and another for your job training. So when you will go on this training is important.
Start getting physically fit! You will need to be in pretty good shape. Running, push ups, pull ups, sit ups go a long away!
I look forward to your journey!

Google the location of the closest Marine Corps recruiter. They will be able to provide you with all the information you need and assist you through the entire process.
