I completely agree with Linda. I started working as a Makeup artist as a way to pay the bills between acting jobs 20 years ago. Ultimately I ended up giving up acting and have dedicated my career to the cosmetics industry both in Retail and later in the corporate side in Training and Education. I think you can easily do both. I have many friends who do other things a do makeup in the spare times for weddings or photos shoots or the other way around. All you need to do is be focused when you are doing each thing. Good luck!

You can definitely do this! As your part time job while you go through your schooling, you can start working at places like Sephora or shoppers drug mart (beauty boutique section— if you live in Canada). As you gain experience in the beauty industry, you can gain clients and perfect your artistry skills, which may allow you to even freelance on your own and start your own makeup business. I did this while I finished my degree in business.
