Mnason’s Answer

English was a second language for me too, my written language improved the more i read. The more you read, the more naturally your sentence formation comes through. Spoken english improves the more you interact with people in english.

All the best

Cecile’s Answer

Read, read and then read more of all things in English: novels, non-fiction, magazines, newspapers. Find a group in your area where English conversation is the focus. Sometimes there are language practice groups in town. I will assume you are already watching tv in English.

However, if you are not reading a lot in English, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Janani’s Answer

In addition to all the good advice above, I would suggest looking for sessions at your local library and see if you could participate. Another is to look for open courses online such as CourseEra.

Elaine’s Answer

I would suggest you take English conversation classes and speak to as many English speaking people as you can. Watch movies with English subtitles. The more English you are involved with the sooner and the better you will learn. Good luck to you and I think you are on the right road.

Shantanu’s Answer

For each thing in this world, there are two pillars for a strong foundation, viz, theory and practicals. You also need to do the same.
Allocate some hours for watching tutorials, videos, reading editorials of newspapers. Secondly, to put that to practice, talk to someone, or a couple of people for that matter. And try to increase your vocabulary day by day, by introducing the learnt words to practice.

Mark’s Answer

Why not ready books and magazines? Very helpful for grammar and spelling too. Also, you could write a daily memoir, and express your thoughts and feelings and dreams by writing them as poetry or lyrics. Telling your stories to friends and family members at a pajama party could improve your English. Of course, listening to theirs will help you hear English. Listening to TV or Netflix is another chance. So don't criticize yourself too severely because learning English can be difficult. The rules are not consistent because English is a combination of many languages.
