For me surgery was the perfect blend of applied biology, anatomy, and physiology with using my own hands and skills to directly improve someone's life. Helping or saving a single person often positively impacts not just the person, but their family and community as well.

Everyone has his or her own reasons as to why they want to be surgeons.
Can you please share what some of those reasons might be? It could help this student decide if it's something they want to pursue
