Why do scholarships continue year after year, and what can I do to keep enrolling in a scholarship program that I have won?

For college scholarships I would definitely fill out the FAFSA form! This is a form that is filled out yearly and provides information on financial aid, scholarships, and student loans available to you through your college. This should assist in continuing with yearly loans you have already been awarded. Check out https://studentaid.gov/ - there is a ton of great information on scholarships, work studies, loans, etc. Also, follow up with the financial aid office at your school - they may have a list of school specific scholarships you can apply for!

Eric, some scholarships renew year after year, and some are one-time only. Typically, renewing scholarships have minimum requirements to maintain them. Those vary a lot, but often include maintaining a certain GPA, a number of enrolled hours, and writing a thank-you letter. Your best bet is to contact your school's financial aid or scholarship office to get specific details for your case.
