How do I balance my passion for the arts and political science at the same time?

I have two passions that I want to continue working and studying in for the rest of my life, and I don't want to have to throw one away. While I know I want my career focus to be in government, I want to keep musical theatre in my life and continue to perform and write like I always have during grade school. How do I find a balance? #JULY20

While studying political science, you can also join theater groups/clubs. That way, you do not have to sacrifice one for the other.

Vanessa’s Answer

This was something that I faced with as an incoming freshman in college.
I enjoyed both computer science and graphic design, so I decided to do a major in Computer Science
and a minor in Digital Art and Design. By doing that, I got to take classes from both the fields that
I was interested in. I don't regret my decision at all, and have gotten the opportunity to work in
internships that have dealt with both my major and my minor!
