Hello,
In almost all positions that manage nurses you are required to be a licensed RN. This means an AS degree in Nursing and most likely a bachelors with experience. One great tool to locate a variety of information on a specific job is https://www.onetonline.org/.

Hi Jessica,
Assistant nurse manager is a pretty broad title in healthcare. There are many fields within nursing where you can be a leader/manager. For example, you could manage inpatient (in a hospital) or outpatient (nursing homes, doctors offices, etc). I am curious what type of facility sparked your question as that could help me give a better answer.
