Is Physical Therapy a good career choice?
I love to work with people, since I'm a people person. My father once recommended me to become a physical therapist, since i read so much on muscles and know how to fix knots in the back and helped his knee get better with physical therapy at home. (He was kind of my test subject to test my new techniques on haha!) My mother also works in the medical field as a Nurse Manager/Nurse. She of course recommended me to become a physical therapist also since the profession requires a person to be good with their hands but also have good communication skills (I have both). So I don't know I really like the idea but I'd like some more information on it and everything I already started studying on it. #college #medicine #college-major #healthcare #physical-therapist #physical-therapy #nurses #scientists #personal-development #career-details

Hi Fakaradin,
Physical therapy is a great career choice. Physical therapy is an essential part of healing after surgery or injury, and you will be helping people to do that effectively and regain their independence. It can be very rewarding to see that your work has an immediate and positive impact. As a physical therapist, you will meet many different people with differing needs so you probably will not become bored with your work.
You may want to consider volunteering at a local hospital/clinic so that you can get a better idea of what physical therapists do and their working environment.
Good luck with your studies!
