A great way to get comfortable and settled as a new transfer would be to get involved. Don't hesitate to join clubs, groups, and different organizations to meet new people and network. In addition, reach out to the dean of your prospective college and see what programs and clubs they have available with people who have the same major as you.

I would see if you can make some friends who appreciate your culture and background. Perhaps some one can benefit from your German language skills
Have a mix of friends who are different and maybe find someone who has also go through same growing pains to help mentor you
Adapt a little to the ways of new environment too, there is often to bad new ways, just different
You will be fine, keep doing what you are doing and welcome !!!

I can truly say, discovering meetup platforms was a game-changer for me as a newcomer! It was such an amazing way to connect with people who share the same hobbies and interests. And guess what? Using the Bumble BFF feature was a fantastic experience too, as I found others who were also in search of friends and could genuinely relate to that unique feeling of being in a new place, trying to find yourself. Trust me, it only gets better! To add a touch of comfort, don't hesitate to explore and find those scrumptious foods that remind you of home. Embrace the journey, and you'll thrive in no time!
