Hi Keyona! I hope I am following your question, but first, let me clarify what you mean when you wrote: “better the country and international ones.” Are you referring to International Accounting degrees or simply referring to other countries?
That being said, obviously where you receive your degree, where you want to live, and what your interests are in terms of accounting and where you can provide assistance all play a role in the answer. For now, the U.S. and other countries still have pretty big differences in Accounting: Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) versus the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
During these economic times, specifically the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an unprecedented impact on all the financial markets, so much that there will be sizable accounting financial issues. There will also be a nuance for some companies in the transition to remote workers in terms of risk and internal controls. Plus, there have been changes to federal, state, and local taxes that are also unprecedented which requires very intense, daily monitoring and adjustments. Plus, auditing is and will be a huge need given the above and more.
In closing, accounting is and always will be in demand (which is one of the reasons I got my degree in this profession as well), compared to many other fields that have potentials of becoming obsolete or close to it because even with AI/robotics, the skills and expertise of accounting are not easily, if at all, duplicated.

Accounting is necessary to build trust in society and in institutions. There have been many large scale abuses of financials within corporations and auditors and accountants together help rebuild the fabric of trust that has been torn. It's a bit of an arms race these days as new technology means new ways of subverting the law. For instance, even people who are very pro-cryptocurrency are concerned about how it could be used to subvert regulations and finance evil abroad.

Accounting is certainly a great field to get into if you're interested in how the money flows through a business or government agency. Accountants work in almost every field, and if you desire to help people, non-profits are always looking for accountants. I would also explore political economy classes if you are interested in working in government. Political economy is the study of production and trade and their relations with law, custom and government; and with the distribution of national income and wealth.
Good luck!

You have a skill set that translates to building - be it a micro-business, small business, non-profit or corporation. The skills that you learn with accounting are foundational and will allow you to teach others or consult to improve lives. I've been able to help women establish small businesses and also work with groups that provide loans to people with ideas but no business knowledge. It's a great skill set to have to allow you to make a difference!
