Hi Elianny, I'm glad to hear that you're seeking outside-of-class learning experience to enhance your skills in interior design. A great place to start is with the online networking site LinkedIn. There, you'll be able to locate interior design companies in New York City, and you are also able to identify internships in New York City that are related to interior design. Additionally, use online job-searching websites like Internships.com or Ziprecruiter.com and SimplyHired.com to aid in your search. You can also outreach to interior design companies directly to ask if they are seeking an intern. Use sites like Google Map to search for interior design companies, and then click into their website and then find their 'Contact Us' page to submit your request. Before you get started in your search, you should also have your resume updated with your work so far up to this point. Make sure it is reviewed by others to ensure it is free of grammatical errors and spelling errors. Best of luck on your search!
Kindly,
Jyoti

If you want to be an interior designer, I bet you are inspired by interior designs. Why not go on line and depending on the design that inspires you, go look at the wonderful designs that you can see on line and in print. I bet the library has a catalogue of books also about interior design. They always list the firms who do the work. Gather information for about 50 firms that you have seen, figure out contact information and compose a note to them commenting on the designs you saw. You may not get a response from all, but who wouldn't be flattered to get a note from a young ambitious student who has the great taste to like their work. It doesn't have to be complicated. You can say I love your use of color but only say something that is true.
