Hi Sarah! College is what you make it and you can find that it's easy to have fun while maintaining the purpose of attending college (going to class and getting good grades). I suggest if you dorm, attend some dorm sponsored events to get to meet and know your neighbors and classmates. If you commute, sign up for clubs and attend different campus sponsored events. While it may seem scary to get out of your comfort zone by going to these events or talking to people you've never met before, you have to remember that everyone is either in the same position you are in or have been in the same position previously. I created a close group of friends from my freshman year dorm who I am still friends with 6 years later and they made my college experience so much better. Most campuses offer tons of fun events and opportunities to try new things and meet new people, so definitely take advantage of all they have to offer.
