Sarah’s Answer

My answer would be anything you want - any STEM degree can open up a diverse range of career options. I studied Chemistry to degree level and have done work in finance, engineering and now management. Friends from university went on to persue a range of jobs from cancer research to accountancy. There is a great resource from the UK Royal Society of Chemistry that profiles the "faces of Chemistry" and I hope will provide some ideas. Good luck with your study.

Herman’s Answer

Hi Alexander,

You can do a lot with a chemistry degree. I know some people with chemistry degrees who are in the food industry, and in the drug industry. There are many options from medicinal chemistry to quality control. I suggest you figure out what industry you want to be a part of, then find out more about the opportunities in that field for chemists.

Best,
Herman
