Janice’s Answer
Hi Jessica-
Yes the location of a physician office is very important. Consider access of roads, parking availability, building space (for waiting rooms, offices, and exam rooms), and proximity to hospitals. You also may want to consider joining other pediatricians to share expenses and after hour call schedules.

Hey Jessica,
Yes this is very important. Ideally, the office would be as close to the patients as possible. It is also beneficial to have one near a major road to increase the visibility of the practice.
Thanks,
Blake

Estelle’s Answer
I am a gynecologic surgeon. The location of my office is important to me and to my patients. I need convenience to the hospitals where I operate so that I can round on patients before clinic in the morning. In case of emergency during office hours, I can run over to the hospital and be back without losing too much time. On the other hand, patients need convenience as well. My office is easy to locate because it is close to the hospital and easy to access. Just like any service industry, patients need to be able to get to my office quickly and find adequate parking as Janice pointed out. When a patient has an emergency, I occasionally need to send them to the hospital which is conveniently located across the street.
