Dan’s Answer

A family doctor is specialized in general medicine ranging from adults to kids to pregnant folks. Pediatricians are focused on kids. Both are different. There is no specialty that is better than the other within the realms of medicine.

Blake’s Answer

Hey Jessica,

I think it depends on what you view as better. The main difference would be that you would spend more time caring for children as a pediatrician compared to a family doctor. A family doctor can still see children, but pediatricians specialize in that area.

Thanks,
Blake
