Blake’s Answer

Hey Jessica,

Based on Salary.com, the lowest end of the range is $150,000. However, there are many factors that could affect this number (geography, etc.).

Thanks,
Blake

Sheila’s Answer

Hello Jessica:

Thank you for your question. Pediatricians are doctors concerned with the physical, emotional and social well-being of children from infancy to young adulthood. Although it is a specialty in itself, pediatrics also has multitudinous sub-specialties ranging from neonatology, oncology and hematology to developmental-behavioral pediatrics and psychiatry. Those who choose to be pediatricians have to love being around children and advocating for children's issues.

Pediatricians made a median salary of $170,560 in 2018. The best-paid 25% percent made $208,000 that year, while the lowest-paid 25% percent made $126,690. Geography may play a role in affecting the salary.

Good luck to you.
