Hi again,
I am unsure with you want to become a doctor or are concerned about an upcoming procedure. Either way, typically you wont speak with the anesthesiologist until the day of. You will receive directions from the surgeon and the surgeon provides the medical record to go over for surgery. They will want to know your weight, gender, previous hx of being under, overall medical records, and will want to know what types of medications you are on.
I would strongly suggest you send an email to area medical schools to see if you can learn more.
