Are there financial aid opportunities in med school?
I am considering entering the Pre-Med program at my school, however I come a low income background and I am fearful that I will not be able to afford tuition at the graduate level.
Thanks! #doctor #medicine #pre-med #medicine-school

Yes.
To become eligible for federal financial aid to help you pay for medical school, you'll need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA could qualify you for the following: Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans: Medical students can borrow these loans (sometimes called “Stafford Loans”).

Absolutely. Financial aid is available to all students. There are large seminars about financial aid and how to obtain it once you are accepted to medical school.

There are financial aid opportunities through the financial aid Richard described. There are also scholarships for which you should apply. Check with the Financial Aid Dept at the school for local scholarship opportunities. One of my sons tutored during medical school and made some money there as well.
