Carmelita’s Answer
Like any other profession, experience, training, specialty, location and demand are factors that determine pay for physician assistants. I have seen in my area (Southeast US, non-metropolitan area with low cost of living), PAs make $60k- 130k. PAs in primary care make far less than those in surgical subspecialties, especially those recently out of training.

This is dependent on the specific specialty you go into. Some departments are higher paid than others but they all eventually make an average of $80,000 a year.
