It is hard to say for sure. I do believe that you can always incorporate both. If you are treating a sick child, painting them, or drawing something for them will make them happy. There is a way to do both. On your off days, you can teach art classes, do commissions and sketch for fun. For this, you must have some balance and be a master of time management. Also, do some research into it. There may be other ways you can have both but I am sure you can do it if you believe it so.

There is medical research on the effects of art and music on healing. With your love of art and medicine, you may wish to conduct this research in schools where it is currently being explored. Doing research into this may broaden implementation of better focus and healing with art and music. Conducting studies may profoundly affect those who experience cancer and other illnesses by reprogramming the with regards to pain management.
Okay, thank you.

How about plastic surgery? They definitely need an eye for aesthetics and symmetry. That could incorporate your artistic side. Good luck

Hi Zemira!
I love that you're thinking about how to combine what you love. The answer will always be "no" until you knock or try something. You never know right? :) Here are some suggestions:
1. With the world practicing social distancing, could you record short but simple YouTube art lessons for children, seniors, patients to watch and draw?
2. Offer virtual art lessons to raise funds for a medical organization you're passionate about. Maybe a kids version of the "Paint and Sip".
3. Visit websites of medical organizations and search for volunteer opportunities.
4. Music and Art therapy
5. Design Appreciation signs with art for neighbors to post in their lawn or on their windows.
Best wishes to you and I know you can make a positive impact with your skills/gifts!
