Is it better for doctors to work in private practices than in places like hospitals?

I'm thinking of becoming a pediatrician. #doctor #hospital #private-practice #healthcare #hospital-and-health-care #medicine

Scha’s Answer

It is up to your goal. If you want to encounter bizarre or unusual cases I suggest the hospital or even public health, but if you want an organized environment then you can go private practices.

Scott’s Answer

It depends on what you are looking for. Most doctors have multiple options on where they would like to work, and choose what "fits" them.

By the time you finish residency, you should have a good idea as to what kind of practice fits your goals. And, by the time you graduate from your residency, health care will go through many changes, which may completely change the answer of where you would like to work.
