Im on track to obtaining a degree in enology, but what do enologists do?

I know enology is the study of wine making and that you learn to make wine but what exactly do you do. I know fermentation and testing the grapes are involved but what else is there? #enology #viticulture #wine

Our small family-owned winery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our harvest winemaking team as Harvest Enologist. This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of a hardworking, tight-knit production team excelling in making ultra-premium, small batch wines.

This position provides the opportunity to work closely with the winemaking staff. General duties include maintaining equipment and ordering supplies, along with performing accurate wine and juice analysis including SO2, VA, TA, pH, Brix, malic, residual sugar, alcohol, NOPA, ammonia. Other responsibilities include sampling, monitoring fermentations, and data reporting and entry.
