Hello Tarshun,
I am glad you asked me this question early on in your student career.
Aviation is an intriguing field and aircraft airframe and jet engine engineering satisfies your passion for knowing more about this field.
Your start off as Aircraft mechanic after you have passed written and practical exams. Once you work on aircraft on line and in hangar and shop, you start to accumulate experience to appear for your license exam for Aircraft Engineer.
As an Aircraft Engineer for the Type, you are authorized to sign the Aircraft Log Book and authorize Maintenance Release of the aircraft for the safe flight of that Airplane.
Lot of responsibility to release the aircraft for flight but there is a whole system working towards that safe release of airplane.
You can become either Aircraft Airframe Engineer or Aircraft Jet Engine Engineer.
Good luck

Hi Taeshun:
This is a good question. There are severl fields you can focus on but I will give a brief description of some that come to mind. You can focus as an aircraft engineer out in the field which will be more in the maintenance and inspection of aircraft or you can focus in the design of aircraft. This will depend on your interest. From here you can focus on the mechanical, electrical or interior design. All of these fields are exciting and always innovating ways of making aircraft go further with less fuel consumption as well as reliability and comfort. There are many opportunities in these fields. In the day to day activities, you would spend much time planning and coordinating with your team members how to solve specific problems to an existing aircraft or perphaps a new aircraft. If you are specialized in electronics, you may be redesign navigational instruments, or flight controls or cabin lighting. As a mechanical engineering you would be more focused on the structure of the aircraft and how to fit all the instruments needed into small areas. As an aircraft engineen engineer you would be focused on engine design.
I hope this helps with your question.
