Should I get a Master's Degree in Mathematics even if I am not planning on teaching in college?

I will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in mathematics in May 2017. My plan is to become a high school math teacher, and possibly teach abroad. Should I pursue a master's degree because I want to study abroad? Is it necessary to have one in order to teach at the schools I want to teach at overseas, or would most schools accept me based on how long I have taught in the US? #teacher #math #study-abroad

Some states require you to have a master's in math to teach in high school. Should you pursue a master's degree because I want to study abroad? No, I don't think it is a legitimate reason. However, if you want to teach abroad it is good transition. Regarding teaching overseas, every country has its rules. Do your research before you make a decision.

If you are wanting to teach math perhaps pursuing an master's degree in education would be a better choice . Having a math degree by itself does not you to teach math in many settings.
