It ranges/varies. I wouldn't take the things said as what is better to use or worse. The important thing is that you stay involved in games. Ideally the more varied the better but to each their own.
Personally - Mobile, PS4 and PC are the main go to. Secondary I use XBone, 3DS XL and PSVITA. Tertiary - I dabble in physical games, board games, card games etc.

I'm also on the mobile bandwagon when it comes to gaming. Not only is it convenient, but it's a wonderful platform for game developers of all levels of experience and backgrounds to put out games. Exploring new indie-games has become a favorite pass-time of mine. As the technology advances in mobile devices, so does the depth of possibilities for graphics and gameplay. It's also fun to see how well game developers can tell a story without the need of over-the-top graphics or game engines. There can be something quite beautiful in the quaintness of a simple, yet well-presented game.
That being said...
There are absolute masterpieces on the larger consoles and Playstation is my favorite of them. If you haven't, play the game Journey. It's a prime example of masterful storytelling with simple yet clean gameplay and is the type of game that inspires a lot of the indie games you see on the mobile platform. I guarantee you'll leave the credits of Journey with a profound experience that will stay with you.

My iPhone because I always have it with me. My iPad is a close second because it's near me when I'm at home or when I travel. Consoles are fun, but you've got to be where they're hooked up to a large screen, power and internet.
