can robotic engineering be more fun than it already is.

I am asking this because i want to have fun while building when i grow up even though i will still do robotic engineering #robotics-engineer

Yeah! The fundamental constituent parts of a robotics engineering are: (1) Mechanical Frame of a Robot, (2) Automation
The ways robotics engineering can be more fun/interesting are:

a. Innovation in materials dictating the design of robots. Can robots be smaller, flexible and yet accomplish tasks fast and accurately
b. Automation: Right now we are in semi-autonomous stage; Our journey towards autonomy would be dictated by:
i. Innovation in software (ML/AI)
ii. Innovation in designing sensors+actuators interface and constituent sensors/actuators
