What job opportunities are open to me if I major in civil engineering?
I am interested in helping/working with people, but also designing, creating, and mathematics. Civil engineering seems a good choice and I was wondering what jobs I could find with a degree in civil engineering. Thank you! #engineering #internships #civil-engineering

Wow, the opportunities are endless. Most civil engineers work on projects. It many be solving a drainage issue, better roads/traffic flow, buildings, dams or even a new well in an developing country. You need to figure out if you want to work for a large engineering company or small. What opens up more doors is the ability to manage a project (Project Manager) from start to finish as well as be in a support role (as a civil engineer) for a large project.
Good luck.

I agree with Simon, there are endless opportunities with Civil Engineering. You have many options you can work for engineering firms that to the design (of course you can structure - buildings, infrastructure, utilities, hospitals, schools, power plants). You can work for construction companies or project management companies. I also advise governments on what projects they should do so that they get value for money from public spend and also at the start of the project including the feasibility study and planning the delivery of the project. In some instances Engineers may end up in banks helping in risk management.
