How easy is it to transfer colleges?

I'm thinking about my college plan. #college

Thank you comment icon Much like Wael Al-Rihawi said, it depends on the college or university that you are transferring from and to. You will need to do your research on both schools and ensure that the courses that you are taking mean something to the other university, or the degree you are pursuing is the same/similar at these locations. It can entail a LOT of work, and even after all that effort, you run the risk of having your courses not all transfer over. While there are ways to fight it, take it from a transfer student - its not a fun process and you will sometimes fail to get the course to count. However, I would not stay at a university or college that you are unhappy with or if there is another reason why you are looking into this information. Ashley

Wael’s Answer

Your best bet is to talk to the admission office of the college you are think of transferring to. They would tell you exactly what you need to do and how intense the process is. For example, the university that I took my bachelors from is very transfer unfriendly. They don't accept any credits you want to carry over.

Hi Morgan,

I believe there is no definitive answer, the process of transferring colleges can be easy or very challenging depending on the school that you are transferring from/to. In my experience, if you are transferring between colleges in the same state, it should not be a difficult process. However, best approach would be to do your research and contact the admissions department at both schools to make sure you have everything you need. Best of luck!
