I am interested in working with geriatrics & elderly care. Is a practical nursing program enough or should i pursue a degree such as an ADN?

I love to work with the elderly. I would like to know what kind of qualifications I will need. #doctor #registered-nurses #geriatrics #care-giver-for-elderly #caregiving #healthcare #hospital-and-health-care #nursing #nurse

I always recommend going for the highest degree possible in that field. I recommend getting a BSN at the very least. A very good nursing friend of my also liked geriatrics, she now works for the state doing site audits on facilities- she feels she’s protecting elderly from mistreatment. A great career, rewarding, and requires a BSN. Don’t limit yourself! Good luck!
