Do patients pick their pediatrician doctor or do they just get a random pediatrician when they go in the doctor office?
I dream being a pediatrician.I could dream myself just helping kids that needs me.I could imagine everybody waiting in the waiting room just for me to call their name and have the brightest smile on their face.Enjoying their time at the doctors! <3

There are many factors which determine which pediatrician a family will go to.
Most people will check with their insurance to find out which provider they can see. You can narrow the list down by location. Once you have a list of pediatricians nearby you, you can do some search on them either online, ask your neighbor, or calling the office. Sometimes, you may get recommendations from an obstetrician or your friends, but you still need to make sure that the pediatrician is covered by your insurance.

Hi Sammy! Picking a pediatrician is usually based on different factors, sometimes it can be recommend by family or friends, insurance companies assign pediatrician as well based on your benefits and sometimes you can see a pediatrician yourself through an advertisement and request an appointment. When we were kids, my parents picked our pediatrician based off of friends and luckily the insurance company also covered our particular pediatrician. It was also helpful because he spoke the same language my family spoke, and that is also another additional factor. If a physician can speak another language or has additional staff working that can speak another language, it is definitely helpful for the patients who visit him or her and will increase the likelihood of choosing that physician.
Best of luck!

Hello Sammy,
Based on my experience, my pediatrician was chosen on who was available when the appointment was first made. After that, I continued asking for that same doctor because I genuinely enjoyed how he treated both me and my family. He has now become the pediatrician for all my six younger siblings. From your question, I can tell you have a passion for pediatric medicine and once your future patients see that, more will recommend you and continue to select you as their doctor.
Best,
