According to google, becoming dental assistant is relatively simple. There aren't nearly as many years of schooling to go through and a person will get all the benefits of helping patient get their teeth back to normal. On the job training: If you do not complete formal education and only receive on-the-job training, you must accumulate 3,500 hours of dental assisting work experience to be eligible for the CDA exam. The educational requirements for DANB certification are that dental assistants must either have graduated from an accredited program or have a high school diploma and complete the required amount of work experience. Applicants also must have current certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Hope this helps!
