I am trying to decide if I want to find a fireworks distributor/manufacturer job as a human resources professional, or wether I should start up my own resale stand and work my way up into owning multiple stands and being able to sustain a good life?

It sounds like you are unsure of what direction you want to go so before you get in a hurry and make a quick decision that could have long-term financial implications I would suggest taking a little time talking to some other stand owners to get a better idea of what the financials are around owning your own stand / stands. I say this because I had a friend who used to own one but it was a side job for him and did not generate enough income for a yearly salary so eventually he sold it to an old employee at the stand. One thing to consider is are you in a financial position to own the land that you can lease for recurring revenue to multiple stands while still doing an HR function in the field? Even if you started with a small piece of property like a lot in a good location you could generate your passive income while you expand and have a self funding fireworks related company. Just a thought for you to consider.

Sounds as if you have a family business starting up. The reason why I say this, is, because you an have the adult figure in your household, get the necessary permits to own the fireworks, while you learn how to work the business. You are the best resource for the adult who would be responsible for purchasing the entertainment, and you can start the survey from other kids around to see what others best like.
