There are numerous universities in California that would provide you with the opportunity to become a high school math teacher. The Cal States tend to have smaller instructor to student ratios than the UCs. There are a variety of factors to consider when choosing a university, such as prestige, location, price, and major. I would recommend doing research into each school's mathematics program to get a better understanding of the curriculum and career trajectory.
