What are the various ways of treatment that physical therapists offer?
I am a graduating senior who has a certain career that he wants to pursue. I have recently been accepted to Allegany College of Maryland and decided to test to become a physical therapy assistant. This is a big question I had relating to my field of choice. #college #professional-sports

Hi!
I've gone through several different treatments of physical therapy after having my reconstructive kne surgery! Physical thereapists offer support through water aerobics, strengthening exercises, and even creating modifications to demonstrate an exercise based on a patients ability and needs. A lot of times the typical session will begin with a physical therapist doing an overall assessment with the patient to see how they're doing and feeling and ask if there's any concerns or areas they want to focus on. Once they go over the plan for the session, the assistants are the ones who go around with the patients and helping them with their exercises! It's a very fun and rewarding field!

There are many ways a PTA can provide treatment. It would always be under the supervision of a physical therapist, but treatments can include soft tissue mobilization, gait training, therapeutic exercises, passive range of motion, and much more!
