just Referring books does not help you to become a doctor and that's a separate career which you need to take up.
Step 1. Have science in high school and +2.
Step 2. Prepare for medical entrance tests. There are various of them, AIPMT, State entrances, Individual college entrances. (AIIMS, JIPMER etc)
Step 3. Score high in any of these exams and get into a medical college. Study hard for 5 and half years and pass all the Exams.
Step 4. Complete your compulsory rotating internship.
Step 5. Get yourself registered under MCI.
Congrats, you can start prescribing now.
Now what if you can't crack the entrance exams in step 2?
Don't worry you still have lots of choices.
Get into a private medical college. The course fee will be higher (may be 20X or more).
Need a cheaper solution? Go to china or Russia. Study medicine there. Once you come back you just need to clear a test (FMGEE) to be able to practice in India.
Don't have money for that too? Get admitted in a Homeopathy /Ayurveda college. You still become a doctor.
