What major is needed to get a career in massage therapy?

Actually, massage therapy programs are either associate's degrees or certificate programs ranging from 8-20 months in length. If you want to be a massage therapist you'll need to find a specific program and apply. If you're considering going to a school in another state that your current residency (or plan on moving after graduation) speak with admissions counselors from programs in both states. You need to be aware that different states have different requirements for licensure, the differences aren't huge but you need to garauntee the program you choose is the right one.
