how does art benefits the not so average artist ?

I love to do art!
I'm very good, but I just don't want to waste my time investing my time into something that I feel could benefit for me in the highest way possible, when it seems as if I've done so much but only moved one step. #art #illustrator #comics #drafting #drawing-skills #visual

From what I'm getting is that you want a career in art, instead of just doing it? Depending on your major your jobs opportunities are GRAND!. Scientific Illustration allows you to have work in textbooks, Illustration as well as Graphic Design-Advertising. Drawing is a first step to multiple different majors, Fine Art allows you to use your knowledge in everything. Drafting-usually a term for construction or building. All these things will allow you to take more steps but a lot of paths you can choose from. Sure it's a lot but the community is worth it, the friends and co-workers are worth it. You can use your skills for Volunteer work. If art is your passion go for it, you will never feel as if your wasting time. I promise you that.

Yay! You're ready to turn your talents into a career. It sounds like you should look into Graphic Design and/or Illustration. Both are lucrative if you play smart by establishing your work experience with internships as you get your degree. Remember degrees prove you can follow instructions and make deadlines with taught skills. You must surpass them to be highly desired, whether as a worker or private contract worker. If you intend to be an entrepreneur and sell your designs yourself make sure you have basic knowledge in copyright and ask experience artist how to price your work properly. And in the end never give up on yourself and take advantage to try different styles and techniques until you find your niche or own style.
