How do you think that your first year of college changed you?

Being a junior in college I have seen so much growth mentally. I feel as though I am a whole new person after the experiences I have had or have been put through. I wanted to know if anyone else has ever felt that they too have changed at all, and in what ways? #college #education #career-change #lifestyle #grades #news #new-media #questionnaires

Wael’s Answer

I experienced no change and I could not stand the people around because too childish. I did not become friends with my classmates until senior year. Then they became ok and not as childish.

Arthur’s Answer

Hi Micaela,
yes, I too have felt a lot of change in my first year of college. While some of it stems from having to fend for myself, a lot of it was really just being exposed to a more diverse range of opinions. At the beginning of the year, I shut myself out, or did my best, from opinions I disagreed with, thinking, as Wael Al-Rihawi did, that they were "childish." This occurred mainly with the cross country team. However, over the course of the year, I realized that I may have considered them "childish," but in refusing to engage with them, I was equally, if not more, "childish" than they were.
