Great question Smythsam! Anything worth having takes effort. Results are created from Discipline. There are lots of good analogies and quotes to enter here. If you truly love baseball (as I did when i was younger)....eat, sleep, breathe baseball. Learn everything about the sport, the history, the good, the bad....the AMAZING. Whether you end up being an all star every year or working in the media relations department. Having a connection with baseball will be something you have for life :)

Just like in baseball, it will take a ton of practice and a ton of at-bats to reach your goals on the diamond and in life. Reggie Jackson "Mr.October" is a prime example of this. Specifically, his batting average during the pre/regular season was not the greatest at all. After several at-bats and practices, something for RJ changed when it became October=Post Season in MLB. All those long hard practices and hard work/reps paid off, hence why he is remembered as one of the greatest MLB players of all time. Always remember, "You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take".WG.
