There are tons of great Nursing schools located everywhere. Do research on the schools you have in mind. See what there NCLEX pass rate is. The higher their pass rate, means they prepped the students better for the exam to obtain their RN license. Also there are Associates 2 year programs and Bachelors 4 year programs. I recommend the Bachelors degree, especially if you plan on getting an advanced nursing practice degree in the future. Hope this helps.

The "best" college is one that supports you, the learner. It is a school that is focused on the growth and nurturing of students in order to prepare them to be successful in their field of choice. The school will give you not only the fundamentals needed to be a novice in your area but also the basics of inter and intraprofessional relationships.
With this, you will also need to look at the success rate of the program. How many students are passing the state board licensing exam? It is best to look retroactively and not solely at current pass rates as you will be able to see a trend. It will give insight to past and present program challenges. Also, ensure that you are looking at the pass rates of the program in which you are interested in. For example, some schools have a traditional BSN program and/or an accelerated BSN program, each with its own pass rate yet they may have a combined overall rating for the school.
Remember, no matter how great the school is, it is up to you, the student, to prepare, learn, sacrifice and excel.
Good luck.
