Is there actually a job where you get paid to hold and bottle feed the NICU babies?

Hospitals are always looking for "cuddler volunteers". NICU units in hospitals are offering baby cuddling programs to ease the burdens on parents and staff. Cuddlers are an integral part of the care provided at the hospital. Snuggling is not only vital to helping the newborns overcome the obstacles they're facing, but also to the parents and their own recovery.
I would suggest that you look at the hospitals in your area to see if they have this type of program and inquire on how you can get involved. You never know, it could lead to a permanent job opportunity for you as a NICU nurse.
