Hi Taylor!
Since you want to know what the experience is like for dentists/ orthodontist I would suggest you shadow some dentists within your area. Shadowing will allow to see what they experience on any everyday basis and know if it is a career you would like to pursue. Either way in order to get into dental school you have to have a significant amount of dental shadowing hours so it would be great start. Also, in order to specialize in orthodontics you need to attend dental school for general dentistry and then you can apply to an orthodontics residency program.

Hi,
I can say being a dentist for more than 10 years, the most interesting part for me is to be able to bring back the healthy smile of my patients. Nothing beats the satisfaction of giving the best quality treatment you can provide to each patients and by hearing their positive feedback is the most fulfilling thing ever. Checking their profile, intercepting and correcting it at the same time is challenging yet fun. Just enjoy the things that you do and learn from the techniques of your mentors and other dentists for sure you'll gain more knowledge and experience.
